Dear Stephanie Scott,
As I grew up, I have lived in seven different houses since I have been born. My first house that I lived in burnt down which is ironic because before I was born the house my family use to live in also burnt down. When we are on vacation during the second house that burnt, one of our neighbors was playing around on our porch with a match and ended up igniting the house. After that, we moved to a house that I grew up in and lived there for seven years. When my parents got divorced we moved into a town house and only lived there for a year. Then we moved into a different neighborhood into a duplex with my brother. This was my favorite house. I have felt the most at home when I lived there. When my brother moved out, my mother could not afford to live there anymore so we had to move to a temporary house. We ended up living there for only six months during my freshman year in high school. My mother finally found an apartment right next to Richwoods, where I went to high school. My junior year in high school, my whole complex had to move due to personal problems with the people who owned the apartment complex. So then we moved into the apartment that I live in now. I have lived here for two years now.
Throughout my middle school and high school careers, I have always been involved in extracurricular activities. I have played softball my whole life. I have played from the grade 3rd grade to end of high school. I have also played volleyball from middle school to high school. Volleyball is my favorite sport and also the one I am best at. I also played basketball from fifth grade through my freshman year of high school until I hurt my back. The one sport that I was also best at was cheerleading. My mother was a cheerleading coach her whole life, so I got really into it. I did school cheerleading and I also did competition cheerleading where you perform around the area. Cheerleading was how I hurt my back my freshman year from tumbling and didn’t continue it from then on. Sports were not the only extracurricular activities I did. During my 4th grade year I joined orchestra and played the cello. I stayed part of the group and was first cello throughout my high school years. I really enjoyed playing music. Not only did I enjoy playing it, but I enjoyed dancing to it. I was on my high school dance teams for a couple of years. I also danced in plays. I have done drama since I was in about 3rd grade. My mother was also a choreographer and always enjoyed having me around in the plays with her. I just recently did a show Bye Bye Birdie over the summer for Peoria Players.
“Friends” is by far my favorite television show. I own every season and watch it every time I decide to watch something. I have seen every episode about ten times each. I also own the “Friends” scene it and play it all the time. Besides “Friends”, the other shows I enjoy watching are “Saved by the Bell”, “Kyle XY”, “The O.C.”, and “What I like about you”. I have also seen all the episodes of these series as well. My favorite actresses are Jennifer Aniston and Rachel McAdams. I enjoy every movie they have ever done because I think they are great actresses. Watching television shows and movies are not the only thing I like to do when I have nothing going on. I also love to eat. Taco bell is my favorite place to eat. I think I could eat it every day of my life if I had to. Cereal is also something I could live off of as long as I have all types of cereal. Apple juice and milk are my favorite drink since I decided not to drink soda anymore. I have not drunk soda for over a year and a half now because I gave it up for a New Year’s resolution and decided to keep going. When hanging out of with friends I also love to play Mario Kart. It is my favorite video game around. Another game I love to play is balderdash. It is a great game to play when you have a big amount of people like at a family event.
This semester I have two goals that I would like to accomplish before the semester ends. One goal is to make many friends. When I imagined college, I imagined making a lot of friends. All my good friends all left for college and went away. Since I do not have them around I would like to make as many friends as possible so I am not stuck missing them all the time. Another goal I have this semester is to keep on all my homework and get it done right away. When I was in high school, I was always a procrastinator and did my homework at the last minute. I always got my homework done but it was never always my best and not having it done would freak me out. I think If I just get my homework done right away, I will not have a lot of stress on me this semester. I hope to accomplish these goals as long as I work hard on them.
Sincerely,
Catie Breaux
